I want to change the background color of Windows Explorer from white to black, as well as the font color from black to white. I seem to remember there was a way of doing this within XP, but i can't recall how it's done.

Actually, i only wanted to change the colors for Windows Explorer, not make it a global XP setting. Isn't there some way i can do this for JUST Windows Explorer?

I think you can only do that on a folder by folder basis. But I could be wrong.

try editing explorer.exe with a program like resource hacker
i dunno if you can change font colors and stuff like that by changing resources, but it would seem logical that you could

Ah well, maybe i'll look into resource hacker then.

Hopefully the next version of Windows will allow more robust customization features.
