How can there possibly be another Joe Millionare?

NO way...that was a horrible show, I personally can't stand reality TV anymore, but on the other hand Friends premiere next week!!!!!

I don't get it. Joe Millionaire, even if you hadn't watched the show, has been imprinted into pop culture. Word gets around very fast on popular topics, and this one as I understand was pretty popular.

The next show has to have a different premise. There's no way it's the same thing with a new guy.

Is the idea behind it changing again or did they find some women who never watched the first show?
The whole idea behind it is changing. Fox claimed to have a half dozen variations of the same thing that they think will work. They probably won't use them all, but they are certainly trying to follow up on the short term success of the first Joe Millionaire.

I think one of the variations was that everyone knows the person isn't wealthy. However the person pretending to be wealthy doesn't know that they know. So everyone watches him/her lie through his/her teeth.

Anyone ever see the picture of that guy and his new show called Joe Aids. The catch line is something like "20 unsuspecting woman. 1 man. But he's got a little secret they don't know about"

SOMEONE FIND A LINK

apparently they never aired it in europe so they got a bunch of dumb european women to be on it.

This, and I think also, if the producers are banking on it being a hit, they could tape multiple seasons of the series all at once. We don't know for sure that this season was taped after the first one aired.

The same thing can be done with The Joe Schmo Show or any others like that. Tape 3 seasons at once, and figure after 3 seasons, ratings would be horrible anyways.

With something like Joe Schmo I think the premise and cost might be a little too high for reality standards, that coupled with not knowing if producing a second season before know if it'll be renewed is financially risky.

Joe Millionaire was already a hit so taping mulitple seasons now would not be too risky.

I'm convinced people would play stupid about knowing what is going on, just so they could be on TV.

Thats correct, this time around its mostly French women, as well as a few from other european countries. They started it before the first one even finished airing.

I would bet on this also...but then again, I haven't heard of Who Wants to be a Millionaire until it came to US from England.
