How can someone let the lights on in a car?

So that the car has no battery power to start again? Doesn't it make a sound in about 99% of the cars if you open the door and the light is still on?

huh? No. With our cars, when you open the door and the lights are still on, it makes a *beeeeeeeeeeeeeep* sound. After you turn the lights off, the sound will stop.

What I meant was it makes a sound when the door is open whether the lights are on or not. I don't remember any cars that beep when the light is on.

Doesn't make a sound when left on in my 1991 Toyota pickup. It's the number one reason I don't drive with my lights on during the day.

If I leave my lights on and I open the door, the car makes a dinging noise. It does the same thing if I leave my keys in the ignition.

In our two cars, Accord 91' EX and Volvo 850 95', neither do that.
