How can one remove molex connectors from wires

Alright, I think I'm gonna pick up a Pin Extractor from radio shack, is there any place where I can go and buy a pin extractor that will work on ATX pins? TIA (checked google and it's all online ordering)

I doubt that you could find them in small towns, but toledo isn't that small. All you need to do is find a local PC shop that caters to modders - it'll be there or nowhere... Call around.
. Or just order from jab-tech.com or svc.com. They will work with you on small orders. They will ship via 1st class mail w/o insrance (you assume shipping risks) quite cheaply from both.

Most industrial electronics shops will have them, in various sizes they won't be as cheap as online. but will be of better quality.

Yeah, that's one of those "infinite profit" items. That plastic tool that tas mentioned comes with sleeving kits. Cost 0, profit infinite... I don't think I'd want a plastic tool unless it was just for a one-time job.

Here't the ATX and P4-12V contact tool I was talking about: ATX tool

That isn't for molex connectors. It can be used for 20pin and 24pin mobo connectors, 6 & 8 pin aux connectors, floppy connectors, and SATA non-molded connectors. It isn't for molex connectors. And just FYI, I have used the little plastic one on many power supplies now. Give it a try.

Well, it is for Molex connectors - Molex connectors like the ATX / 12V connectors.

However, it is only suitable for Molex connectors and not the AMP connectors used on hard drives.

If you are sleeving the main ATX cable you can skip the tedious process of removing the pins
by splitting each side (pins 1-10 & 11-20 for example) and bending it diagonally towards one end where you can run a big enough flex tubing and heat shrink tube through.

look down inside the plug. beside each pin, you will see a small tab(s). That is what is holding hte pin from pulling back through the connector. Take a small screw driver, push the tab in and pull the wire out. when the wire is out, bend the tab back out so it will work again when you reinsert the wire
