How can one fix/replace a PDA screen?

I sold my friend my Sony Clie TJ-37 two days ago. Today he took it out of his pocket and the glass on the touchscreen is cracked and a corner of the LCD is dead. I don't think the touchscreen works at all.

Is there any way he can either fix it or replace it (obviously not for free)? Or did he just shaft himself out of $140?

Thanks! 😀

If just the glass is broken, by a new transcriber for lik $60 otherwise he's SOL!!! (it's going to cost ~$150 to replace the lcd and transcriber....at least it is for the axim x5 a few years ago)

there are sites that sell replacement screens for pda's. always have been since its usually the first thing that broke. esp back when they were glass😛 that being said, it may or may not be worth it depending onhow much the thing is now worth compared to the screen replacement.
