How can matrix break midnight date?

My crappy local cinema is playing the matrix reloaded on wednesday the 14th at 10PM... isn't that illegal to break the date of the release? I would go to that theater and see it for 6 bucks, but they DON'T have stadium seating and the sound is HORRIBLE. The last time i went there the speaker to the right of me buzzed throughout the movie 🙁

I have tickets for a showing at the same time! I don't care if it's illegal as long as I get to see it! 😉😛

The theater where I'm seeing it is very nice!! I am so lucky! 😀

you sure they're not screwing with you and actually just playing The Matrix at 10:00 and then Reloaded at Midnite?

There are plenty of movies that have sneak previews. I think WB authorized some theaters to have a sneak preview showing of the Matrix Reloaded.

it would be against the theatre's contract with the distributor, which they would never ever break.

According to MovieTickets.com the following theaters in Philadelphia have showings on Wednesday 5/14:

AMC Franklin Mills Mall
10:00pm , 10:00pm

AMC Neshaminy 24
10:00pm , 10:15pm

AMC Plymouth Meeting Mall 12
10:00pm , 10:30pm

AMC Marple 10
10:00pm

I'd assume that the movie wouldn't start til 10:30 w/ previews and obviously, the movie is at least 1.5 hours therefore the movie would be playing on the 15th technically 😉
