I want to sell my old phone. I did the factory reset, cleared the logs, phone book and messages. It's still showing the old number on the phone even though the phone was deactivated. How can I make sure all the info is gone?

the phone number is probably embedded in some firmware/sprom that requires some manfuacturing tools to eliminate. It's probably not accessible to the end-user.

That "piece of crap" (two of them actually) fetched me $40 a piece on eBay. Not sure what problems you had with it, but we used ours for two years and both phones held up splendidly.

Mine did work fine for a year and a half, but then went crazy. Dropped calls, random freezing, terrible reception. And it was ugly to boot. Sold it to a friend for a night out. Great deal.

The phone works perfectly, we just upgraded to the LG 8100. I'll probably get the e815 when I get rid of my phone.

go into the menu, then press '0'. then press all zeroes for the password.

I did that and got into the service menu. From that point I didn't see anything that would clear the number on the phone.
