how can i uninstall the flash plugin?

I need to uninstall flash, everytime i go to a site with flash my computer locks up solid. This just started like yesterday. Anyway, there's no uninstall thing in the Windows Uninstall manager, so I'm not sure how to get it off my machine. Alternately, I expect just running the install would work too, but of course if you go to their website, it's chock full of flash animation and that just crashes the computer again. So if anyone can give me a direct link to their install program, that would be great too.

Tools, Internet Options, Settings (under temporary internet files), View Objects, right click on anything shockwave and select remove.
