How can I tell which Creative Sound Blaster Audigy sound card I have?

I had a system built about three weeks ago (see Big Bertha specs in Rigs) and the guy installed a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy sound card in it.

The problem is, is that it is an OEM card and I therefor did not receive any documentation on the card.

The installation CD does not help, it simply says Creative Sound Blaster Audigy. The vendor has the card on his web site Link and it says that it is a Creative Sound Blaster Live Audigy. I have gone to the Creative website and Creative Sound Blaster Live Audigy does not exist!

How can I tell which Creative Sound Blaster Audigy sound card I have? Short of taking the damn thing out of my case that is.

Thanks in advance.

An Audigy is an Audigy is an Audigy. The only differences are the software package which comes with it, and possible a breakout box with the platinum package. The card itself is the same.

the OEm audigy is essentially the same as the other audigy cards, differing only in not having gold plated connectors!

Does all the audio get translated into German? OK. That's not funny.

Yeah, you should be good to go. As far as I know, the OEM version lacks the gold plated connectors and any software (as stated by others). To make sure, run the DirectX diagnostics utility --> dxdiag in the run dialog box

Click on the SOUND tab and tell us what's listed as far as Device Name and Driver Name... also are the drviers signed?
