When i check the "properties" all i see is that it is using the "optimal" refresh rate......But what exactly is it?

My monitor is a Viewsonic G73f. This is what it says on thier website about my max refresh rate: 1024 x 768 @ 105Hz (http://www.viewsonic.com/products/crt_g73f.cfm#features)

How can i make sure it's set at the rate i want it at?

download powerstrip - it should be able to tell you your refresh rate

I thought that thing was only good for OCing the vid card? Eh ill check it out thanks. But will it allow me to adjust my refresh rate as well? The only options i have to choose from were "60hz" and "optimal". Thanks

Make sure you have the appropriate driver for the monitor and not just default monitor. Go to display properties - settings - advanced - monitor. Look at monitor type and if default load the correct drivers. In monitor settings should get the listing of refresh rates the monitor supports.
