How can I tell what kind of Pentium 3 I have without removing the heatsink?

Yes, it's an odd thread title, but I have an odd find. I found this box during my move that had an old Pentium 3 cartridge type motherboard with 1 AGP slot, 5 pci slots, 2 that I can not identify, and the classic 3 ram slots.

It had 1 nVidia geforce 6600 256mb DDR, and a bunch of different rams. (1 alpha omega 128mb pc100, 1 infineon 512mb DDR 400, 1 hundai 128mb pc100, 2 patriot 512mb pc3200, and 1 corsair stick DDR, probably 440, but unlabeled) It had a soundblaster live! model ct4760 in it too, but it looks messed up. (PS, it also has a piece of a newer laptop or something in it, says Samsung 925, ARM 6410, the rest is missing. ;))

I have no memory of this stuff. It's nearly as old as I am!

But the best part is, it has a pentium 3 in it! I can not tell what kind of P3 it is though, just got interested in computers this January. :D The only info I have on it is that the cartridge says;
"700/256/100/1.65v S1
90180063-0289 MALAY
i '99 SL454"

Could someone help me tell what kind it is? I am going to get a PSU and HDD for it and install an old copy of windows 98 that I found in the box with it, but I'm wondering what kind it is now. It's interesting. I could upload pictures, but my internet is slow right now because I haven't called for an upgrade, due to the move. :p I plan to do some old FS2002 gaming on it. ^_^

The full specs will be P3, nVidia 6600, .5GB-1GB RAM. (If it works, it's ooooooooollllllldddd.)

lol wow you found a cpu that can actually bottleneck a 6600 :p
XD, I wonder how it will do.
You already posted the CPU information but here it is broken down with a little more as well.

700Mhz
256kb Cache
100Mhz FSB
1.65Volts
SL454
Core stepping cB0
Coppermine Core
Slot1 Socket

Ah, thanks! The mobo I found it on is a albatron with a 1000+mhz FSB, so it seems to be an overclocking motherboard, might give it a go. I hope it works, that would be really cool.

Is there any thing else it needs beside an HDD and a PSU. Would my 550w HIVE be an ok temporary PSU? I also think it is funny that this thing uses 1.65v and new ones die at more than 1.3, and it still needs a smaller heatsink/fan. This is really cool, I'm hyped up about it.

Albatron was good, haven't seen them in a while, must have gone the ABit way.

Yeah, a bottle of champagne would suit the occasion :awe:

Pentium iii 1000 Mhz used 1.75v, so you can see, there is room for improvement

Good find.

1.75v? o_O But remember, the parts are around as old as myself, no champagne for me. XD Thanks though. I plan to test it my around mid week. Need a HDD that fits it, and I have no idea what to do about that because I am so tired, I'm leaving it for tomorrow. Still excited about it though, never seen anything older than a core2 before. :awe:
