How can I tell if my Hauppage PVR card is crapping out?

Its gotten snowy (a bit) on recordings and I think its causing my system to freeze. Once I get the AS5 and HSF for my Vid card and CPU i'm going to pull out the PCI card and see what happens as I OC.

Read my post, I just got a MCE500 and it came pre-crappy. (MCE 500 is just two pvr150s)

I was just looking at that...I'm not sure what tuner I'm going to try next, but I guess I'll give this one another shot in my livingroom box.

you're sure it's not the tv signal? If the signal coming in is bad that would make it snowy. It might also cause bad performance if it's trying to lock onto a signal. I know when my cable gets disrupted things get choppy for a minute until it decides there isn't a signal to capture.

No, it USED to be fine..i havent unplugged it or changed it in any way. It just got crappy all of a sudden.
