How can I tell if my DVD-ROM is Region Free?

I recently flashed the bios on my Pioneer 106S dvd-rom with a Region Free one that I found on the web, I'm still waiting on a Region 3 DVD from my friend and I currently don't have any DVDs other than Region 1 dvds. I checked the Region status on my DVD Rom and it says Not Selected, does this mean its unlocked? I didn't touch anything prior to this bios flash and now it says I have 2 Changes Remaining, I don't want to touch anything just yet because I don't want to get stuck on another region if its not unlocked.

You could try DVD Region Killer...

suggest you get dvd regionkiller V2.7 as you'll need it or something similiar when playing your dvds plus like Technonut mentioned, you can check your drive region status with it as well.
