How can I tell if eggs are rotten?

I got a couple eggs left... standard grade A deal. The expiration date is Oct 23. They appear okay from the outside but I don't wanna break it open into a pan and have it be rotten and stank up the pan. I've eaten them in early November but not since. I also got a carton with exp of Nov 14. Do you guys think either of these are okay to eat? It's Sunday, I just played a few rounds of Joint Ops, and I need me some eggs!

put them in a cup of water. if they stand up on end then they are either good or bad, but i forget which is which.

Heck, crack them individually into a bowl. If the stink they are bad.

Eggs usually keep a lot longer then their expiry date as long as they're kept cool enough.

If you need to ask that question... it is time to throw them away.

Is it worth three or four days of suffering to take a chance on eggs that over a month past the sell by date?

Crack them open. If there is a chick in there, they are bad.

Break them open. If they stink, they're no good. Otherwise, have at it.

Hmm I think I'll make an egg sandwich with the Nov 14 ones and just throw away the others. They all stank! And I hate 'em!
