Hey all.....haven't been here in awhile. Anyway, I just got my new setup yesterday and it's up and running great (thank God...I've read some of the horrible problems people have been getting with this motherboard)!
Well, I was wondering how I could find out if the ATA-100 option is "working" on my rig.
I've run HD-Tech prog, and got the following:
With PIO Mode set to Auto I get -
Read Speed Max = 37866 kps
Min = 28678
Avg = 32812
With PIO Mode set to 4 I get -
Read Speed Max = 37895
Min = 15736
Avg = 32740
Do these numbers correlate with a drive that is using the ATA-100 setting?
If not....could someone let me know how to get this setup to use ATA-100?
My rig:
Thunderbird 900 @1070
128 Micron Cas2
IBM 15 Gig Deskstar (the one that allows ATA-100)
G2 Pro
etc...
