how can i tell if aluminum is anondized

Well, actually I think I can tell pretty easily. The metal front of the thermaltake is anodized, it's all like hard and pretty looking, and the rest is just straight up aluminum. Don't raelly know about that though. I've been looking into painting this thing, and I'm wondering if I need to use self-etching sealant/primer like this article says:

http://guides.pimprig.com/pimprig_paint...erly_prep_anodized_aluminum.php?page=2

Or if not, what sort of primer i ought to use. I'm not planning on painting the outer cover part that goes on the front. Anyone have any experience with painting aluminum?

Thanks...
