how can I tell if a mailserver is blacklisted?

a friends company I keep an eye on their network for, has a customer who says their emails are not getting thru because they are on a blick list.

is their some place I can check an ip address to see if it's blacklisted?

BTW they don't have a mail server, it's a 3rd party host.
