How can I stop the "processor fan not detected" message?

I have a Dell Dimension 4500, and the exhaust fan (processor fan) stopped working. I had to push it manually for it to start spinning, otherwise it wouldnt spin. And it was spinning slow. Anyway, I replaced it with a new fan and it has a different RPM sensor. Instead of a 3 wire, it has the regular power adapter like a video card, and it has a one wire cable thats probably the RPM sensor (I dont know all the exact terms). This new RPM sensor plug wont plug in to the motherboard, its just a different pin I guess. Keep in mind this is an old motherboard that still has AGP, no PCI express.

So anyway is there any way to stop this message, or at least the beep? I dont want to hear a loud beep every time I boot up. The problem is this is probably a BIOS beep, cuz I already have all beeps in Windows disabled. I even turned off the beep service.

Should be something in your BIOS, going to have to look around, something in the regards to hardware monitoring.

This BIOS and motherboard are very limited since its a Dell. I'll check next time I boot up tho.

If you have extra pins on mobo for controlling chassis fans then connect your processor fan to it and a 3 pin chassis fan to wherever the PC fan is attached. Not totally sure this will work but I have read about some people doing it.

Use an adaptor like a molex to 3pin to connect one of your other fans that are already in the case to the CPU header.

I dont have any other fans, its a dell haha. But yeah I didnt know they made molex to 3 pin, I'll just use that for the new fan. I forgot to tell you, I have connected using molex right now.

Thanks
