How can I set a months-long reminder for myself?

I need to remind myself to send in the application for the Seagate hard drive settlement, but I'm out of the US now. I just need to make sure that I do it sometime between Christmas and March. Is there a site or widget somewhere that will allow you to set a long, long time alarm? I don't use any kind of calendar program.

Write a note about the settlement and put it in a small box. Then mail the box to yourself after writing "Do Not Open Until Christmas" on it.

if you have a google account setup a google calendar and mark your date, set it to email ya, tada!

get a free calendar from your bank or car insurance agent and put a note on that date and circle it in red

then use that calendar and when you get to the date, you'll remember

Do you have to use a pc? Most cell phones can handle this.
