So I moved in with my GF and I realized I got too much crap. Not stuff that doesn't fit, but just too much stuff. I have 300 CDS, maybe 50 DVDS. All kinds of asorted crap, golf clubs ( I still play, but may cut back), trinkets. I want to get rid of it all..as much as I can. Ebay seems highly complicated for it. I mean, who buys cds anymore?

Any advice? Maybe sell the cds in pack of 5 or something?

1. drop all your stuff off at the ups store or auction drop and let them sell it all. they do take about a 40% cut, but at least they do all the work.

2. ?

Craigslist? I have sold quite a few things from around the house in recent years when it came time to make room for the new.

I am trying to sell a HDTV on cragslist and usenet and it's a pain in the ass. Most people don't even show up.

if you're lazy, the auction drop off is a good idea... otherwise, pick up a lot more profit and spend an afternoon with your digital camera and ebay.

You sound like the perfect American consumer. Do you also have a lot of debt?

Nope, no debt. Actually have a lot in savings, and I own my condo that I just rented out when I moved in with GF.

I'm just sick and tired of looking at all my stuff.

For CDs and DVDs, you can look into local music stores. You could probably do slightly better parting them out on ebay or half.com; but if your time is worth anything at all, you might well be better off just asking a local music store(one that has a selection of used stuff, obviously) what they would give you for the lot.
