The only way to find out is to plug in a USB 2.0 peripheral. If the ports are 2.0 then you will notice a very fast port. If the port is not 2.0 XP will tell you.
Go to your Device Manager, expand the "Universal Serial Bus connectors" section and see if there is a USB 2.0 Root Hub listed in there. Also check your motherboard's manual to see if only certain physical USB ports support that speed.
I have 4 USB things listed in device manager. Two standard openHCD USB Hoct controller, and Two USB Root Hub. This is because I have four USB ports on my board, what are the differences between them?
According to your mobo's manual it looks like all your mobo's USB ports are 2.0 capable, but maybe their device manager listings just don't say so... or you haven't got the 2.0 driver installed... (re)install your board's USB 2.0 driver to be sure (should be on the CD that came with it) and/or download the latest NForce2 driver set from nVidia.
I shoulda asked what OS you are using. If it's 9x you might be SOL.
I have XP Pro, I dont think i did install the drivers because I thought that they come with SP1. The thing about the drivers on the cd is that it is not an execuable file. You ahve to copy all these files over and stuff, really dumb.
device manager doesnt always list "usb2.0" it depends on which usb 2.0 chipset you are using
and if usb 2.0 is turned on in bios and you have winxp sp1 installed then (and assuming there isnt an "X" or "!" in device manager next to usb devices) then you are running at usb 2.0 speed
and if you want to verify just hook up a usb2.0 external harddrive and try to copy a 1gb file to it.. if it only takes a couple min then its usb 2.0... if it takes over an hour then its usb 1.1
