How can I save my job?

So I wake up about 20 minutes until work, which is enough time to make it there. Get in my car, it won't start. I've been having battery problems for the past day and a half or so, so I'm thinking my altenator is screwed. None of my friends or family are home or awake, so I can't get a ride from them.

Heres the big problem, I'm doing temp - to hire, and they say if you fail to call in an hour before your shift, then basically you're fired. So I try to call in anyways, and the damn phone lines are dead. Bills are up to date so it must be a line problem.

Yesterday I was an hour late due to my battery, but I eventually made it then.

Is there any hope I can keep my job or no?

Summary:

Car wouldn't start

No ride

Phone lines are dead

On a temp - to hire probation period

At this point, I don't think you can. Well, if your boss is sympathetic, then maybe. I'd apoligize and explain the situation to your boss, tell him you tried calling and couldn't, etc.. and then get that car problem fixed ASAP.

Well, I found a voice mail for my supervisor, and left a message. I asked if I provided proper documentation that the phone lines were out and that my car has problems, if she could not fire me. I'll just hope for the best.
