How can I save my Internet Explorer "Favorites"?

Hi
I am about to format my HDDs and bring in a new mobo/cpu combo si I figured I might as well put in a fresh install of my OS.

But I would like to back up my Internet Explorer favorites and also my Outlook express address's could you point me to the right direction please😀😀

Thanks...........Sincerely Toothpick

This should help ya:

Favorites: backup the whole folder located at C:\Windows\Favorites

Outlook Express Mail (I cant remember where it stores the address book): C:\Windows\Application Data\Identities\big long string of characters\Microsoft\Outlook Express

...leave it to Microsoft to place your mail folder in the dumbest place.

Be sure to backup YOUR address book! Not just the application WAB.exe ok?I once did that only to find out after formatting and reinstalling windows that the address book is empty...

The simplest way to save your address book is by taking screenshots of it...I'll try to find out a more smart way ( 😀 ) to do that, and if I do,I'll let you know.

Good Luck.

Here's the easier way. Click File>Import and Export. The wizard will help you with the rest.
