how can i retrieve deleted stuff from the harddrive

I accidentally DELETED all of my buddies music he had on his computer. I need to know of recovery software that will let me go into the harddrive and retrieve that information. PLEASE let me know.

Did you empty the recycle bin? It might still be in there. If not look here:

I didn't read through all of it, but it says you can download and try the utilities.

If that doesn't do it, do a search of Google for "undelete software". It pulls up a bunch of sites.

Powerquest Lost and Found Utility will recover files that were deleted............it was free for awhile in Hot Deals as such i did download it for myself and have used it several times since



another good utility i have heard is


Easy Recovery...........have never used it

Make sure that you don't copy or change anything else from the partition where the music was or else it will probably be written over and uncoverable.

If it's on Win95/98/ME, try this free trial download at File Recover.Com

It should help you find files that were deleted and help to recover them.
