I put Chess Brain DC on my computer and long story short, after i uninstalled it it still starts up in my task bar/in the backround, i searched the registry and took out all the entires for Chess Brain, after runing the uninstaller and it still starts when i logon.

Chessbrain crashes my computer, so i need to know how to take it off from starting up when windows does, im runing WinXP Pro, and for now i have to use safe mode to type this. Any help would be great!

these are no brainers, but have you checked the Startup folder and have you deleted all files associated with ChessBrain? It shouldn't be able to start if there is no executable :)

Go to Start, Run, and type in MSCONFIG, and hit Enter. Then go to the Startup tab and uncheck the line put there by your Chessbrain thingy.

Sounds like the progggie is not XP compatible and should probably be uninstalled and relegated to the closet. :)
