I have a dual boot system which has two physical hard drives and two partitions per drive. Win98se is installed on c: partion of the secondary hard drive. d: is also on the secondary hard drive. Winxp was installed on the e: partition which is on the primary hard drive. and f: is also on the same drive. After reinstalling Winxp over my old Winxp installation, I noticed that Winxp installation have changed my Winxp hard drive letter from e: to c:. Other partitions' letter also had shifted. I have tried to use WinXp's Disk Manager to reassign the partition letters back to the way it was, but Disk Manager wouldn't allow this because c: is now a boot partition. Is there another way to safely reassign the partition letters? BTW, the drive letters are in correct order in when I boot into Win98se.
