I have a certificate worth 250 shares at about $2.60/piece. I have no brokerage account. I have zero interest in trading stocks any time now or this century. I want to liquidate this for FAST CASH NOW. Do I need to setup an account at some online place, send them the cert, sell that bitch, then just close the account? I don't mind if this happens in a few days or even a couple of weeks, but I'm tired of looking at it. Thanks!

if you have an actual piece of paper certificate, walk into a broker like charles schwab and do it that way

yeah, they'll make you open an account, and charge a fee, probably like $30-$50 , something like that. after the shares are sold, they'll deposit the money in your account, then you can ask them for a check for the balance in your account, then close the account.
