I use Juno application on my XP Pro system as my main E-mail application. For the last 2 or 3 weeks, every day I will get an email from a unknown user. It's never the same sender account, it usually changes the email address; but the results are always the same. These emails contain no more than 2 or 3 more sentences of incoherent stuff. But what really creeps me out, is that as soon as I look at the email (or, if I have no choice since it may be the 1st email shown), it will immediately launch Windows Media Player 9 and attempt to play a file. WMP9 asks me to play a unrecognized format 1st, and I say no. Then it just gives the orange ! mark, denoting it's unrecognizable file format. But still this creeps me out, especially since it happens every damn day.
How can I prevent WMP9 to responds to commands or Scripts from emails to open up WMP9? I looked high and low in my Juno account settings, and there isn't any option to disable scripts in emails that I know of? Is this setting in my 'Internet Options' somewhere?
Can someone help me figure all of this out. Thanks guys.
