I have a VHS tape from the UK that I would like to watch, but it won't play on my VCR here in the US. All I get is snow. I am thinking that it is because the UK uses a PAL format. Do I need a PAL capable VCR? I have a WinTV card on a computer in another room that I can set to PAL format. Should I take the VCR in there and connect it to the TV in on the computer? Or, do I need a different VCR? This tape is not that impportant that I would get another VCR just to watch it.

i think it's the TV that's the problem when you are doing PAL vs NTSC...

You'd have to get a PAL -> NTSC VCR in order to watch it on your home television.

If it's just a PAL VCR, you'll also need a PAL TV.

Maybe the tape is bad. ?

I guess it's worth a try connect it to the TV in on the computer and set the card to PAL, but the VRC isn't PAL so I don't know if it'll work

Are they just FROM the UK? If they are PAL tapes, they won't work in a regular US VCR. You may have NTSC tapes from the UK or a VCR that does PAL.

We can't help you until you first admit that it is a UK p0rn tape that you wish to view. Only by admiting the truth, can we then help you.
