Does anyone have a solution?? I would like to hang them and cause as little damage as possible to the walls of my new apartment. I have 4 laminated posters, 2 paper posters, and a jersey I want to hang up.

The laminated posters are much heavier than normal posters, I was wondering if I should just use nails to put them up ... although it would damage the posters and the walls.

What about using electrical tape? Will that tear up the walls? Is it strong enough to hold up the posters. I havent ever seen electrical tapes tear anything up... I once tried some silly puddy stuff and it didnt hang at my walls in my dorm room, it wasnt strong enough.

For people who are wondering why I have laminated posters, I bought rare posters off eBay and I didnt want them to tear while they were hanging up in my dorm room. So far, so good :D

Thanks

Get poster hangers. It's basically two strips of plastic. One slides onto the bottom of the poster, the other onto the top of the poster. The top one has a string on it to hang from a nail or something like that.

You can buy nail-less hooks from 3m that use adhesive to keep the thing mounted and they peel off real nice. Use that to hang the poster. The poster hangers are nice because they don't damage the posters, and they keep it nice and flat.

I've had a couple of those that have been hanging for about 5 years now without a problem.

Nice, which one of those are the rare ones off ebay?

I just recently ordered a few off allposters

This One

And This

Great Speech

Can't find the other one but it was the Chinese character for doctor. Let me know how the Jersey goes with the electrical tape. I was thinking of doing that with my HS football one but I just might bring a letter or something smaller.

Oh god, No, don't use electrical tape or that blue sticky stuff. Get a package or two of the Command Adhesive for posters. It's awesome. Doesn't damage posters or walls, AT ALL. Don't use anything else or your posters or wall or both will be damaged. Follow the instructions on the package for putting them up and taking them down, it's easy and they are very strong, and the cost of the Command Adhesive (a couple bucks) beats paying for damage later.

You can find Command Adhesive just about anywhere. Walmart, Staples, Office Max, KMart, whatever. It'll be a display with their other stuff, like wall hooks and cable catchers. It's a rubbery substance kind of like double sided tape. You remove it by pulling the tab on it straight down along the wall until it detaches from the surfaces. Don't use normal double stick tape, it takes off paint when you take it down, or leaves adhesive residue behind.

I used this stuff for posters, the hooks for hanging up towels in the bathroom (didn't break), and in the kitchen to hang stuff up, in my last apartment, they were up for two years and caused no damage when I took them down.

My local Walmart didn't have it, they didnt even have double sided tape:( - all the office stores around me were already closed, but I will try Office Max tomorrow.
