I am currently using a lapped celeron 300A at 505 at 2.2V. The thing is rock stable at this speed. I am using Motherboard Monitor on my ASUS P3B-F but I have noticed that the temp spikes from 53C to 34C quite regularly. This is a slot 1 processor and I am not sure how I can get a more accurate and consistant reading. If any of you have any suggestions please help me. Thanks again.

What heatsink are you using?

I'm assuming you have MBM setpu to read the "asus 2" temp, so that's the diode reading. Normally you'd see large temp differences, but are teh 53 and 34Cs constant, or just spikes?

They are not consistent they are just spikes when I come out of games and other things but it cools right back down to like 35-37C very quickly. I am currently using the ALPHA P125 with arctic silver thermal paste. Thanks.

Hmm.... I think its an issue with the Asus TempMOnitoring Chip. You could try Asus probe and see if you can replicate the spikes.

Thanks for the info. The strange thing is that PC Probe will not install? It stops during install and will not continue. What the heck?
