i wanna clear out all the stuff in the ID that says, artist, title, year, etc...i think this way when i put the mp3 in my winamp play list, it will just use the filename as the artist/title which is what i want. i have thousands of mp3s so i can't do this by hand!

thanks

Try MP3ext. You can get it from here. Once you have it installed, go to the folder properties of your root mp3 folder, and press the remove button, and click apply. It may take a while, but it has worked for me before.

i'm also looking for a program that makes all filenames all lower case, if anyone's got that...

Winamp allows you to do this. Download and install winamp, add the mp3s you want to change, right click them and choose file info. The ID3 tag should be shown and a checkbox should be checked to show the ID3 info, uncheck it and your thru.

You could also have winamp just not display id3 tags at all.

Go to Preferences -> Plug-ins -> Input -> Nullsoft MPEG Audio Decoder -> Title. Uncheck "Use ID3v1/2 tags"

Is there a way to sort all my mp3's in all my different folders according to bitrate? like show me which mp3's are 128, which are 192 etc. and allow me to move them into folers like /highquality or /lowquality? Right now i'm trying to replace all my 128kb or lower mp3's with 192's.. it's a pain to go into each song individually to see what the bitrate is in order to redownload.
