How can I make an ISO image from files?

Martin

Lifer
The prob is, I got these 4x rated miniCDRs that I need to burn at 4x, but nero will only let me burn at 8-24x.

Fireburner, it seems, will burn it at 4x for me, but it needs an ISO, since it doesn't have Nero's capabilities.

So what can I use to make an ISO so I can burn it with FB? I just need to put some mp3s on it.

<< I don't even know what a miniCDR is, but have just tried burning one at 8x? >>

They are the 8cm (3" or so) ones. Normal CDs are 12cm (4.5" or so).

I burned 3 at 8x, 2 of them are fine, one got corrupted, so I don't wanna risk it any more (I only have a few of them)

I'm not sure if there's a program to do it, but you could always do things the long way by burning the files to a regular CDR and then rip that to an ISO, and THEN burn the ISO onto the Mini w/ Fireburner?

Undisker.. just did a search and came up with this.. on the webpage, it says it can create iso images from cds, no mention of creating iso from files themselves.. worth a look at though.. it's shareware btw.

edit: nevermind.. check this out... WinISO it's shareware as well..

The limit of unregistered version are as following:
1. Can not extract a file greater than 3MB.
2. Can not convert an image greater than 100MB.
3. Can not save an image greater than 100MB.
4. Can not save an image greater than 100MB as new file.

but this first release they have (they're on 5.3) says that it supports:

3. Supports making a standard ISO image of selected files and directories

so it fits the bill for what you're looking for..

Thanks a lot.

That's what I was looking for, thanks.

Goldenhawk CDRwin lets you compile ISO from files. The demo version is limited to 1x burning, but you can compile ISO image using it's tools. You can then burn ISO file you just created using ECDC or Nero.
