How can I make Adobe Acrobat Read print files DARKER?

Many of my PDF files print very light. How can I force the printer or adobe to darken them?

Nope, good guess but you guys are wrong.

Many of the pages are scnned lightly, and some darkly in the same document. So, some pages come out clear and black, some very light.

The printer setting is already on high quality, which I believe tells it to use more ink

canon s600 inkjet.

Ink is fresh.

Not sure if this would work or not, but does your printer have options for different types of paper? If you select a gloss or photo paper when using plain inkjet paper it might put down more ink making the type darker. Of course, the prints might smudge or take longer to dry but it might be worth a shot.

thanks ill give that a try

mine has that as well. When I set it really light, it lightens up alot, unfortunatley it seems to have no affect when set darker.
