How can i lock a file without installing a software.

i am once again .....i was absent in this forum to visit india for business purpose...
i would like to hear something from the indian specially from the Kolkatan(WB)(bengalies)

but now come to the business.... i want to lock a secreat file for security but i dont want to install any new software in my pc. is there any way to do that....

thanks in advance............for the indian or kolkatan i would like to hear something about the ensuing durga puja, i have heard that this is biggest festival of bengaliess ....send reply privately

You should a zip program on your computer ... just use it to zip the file up and put a password on it.

i have win zip on my computer and i put a password on it but it is not working.....
is it the problem of the win zip or the pc?
