How can I locate a USPS mailbox?

I always see USPS mailboxes when I don't need to mail something, but when I actually need to mail something, I can never think of the closest one. I think it's weird that the USPS doesn't even have a locator service on their site.

Is there ANY way to locate my nearest USPS mailbox without actually remembering where it is? :)

Just leave it in the mailbox. The mailman.woman takes it.
I'd rather leave it someplace more secure, as most of the time I mail things like utility bills and/or rebate stuff. Also, I feel it's more reliable (in terms of delivery times) to leave it in a marked USPS box than just my mailbox.

If more security is important to you, then it's best to go inside the post office and drop in the wall slot. Those blue mailboxes get pilfered and may have only ONE pick up time.

That's what I have been doing, because my dad's done the same thing since I can remember. He's paranoid about mail security too. :)
