I have two questions:
1. I have windows 2000 server running AD, DHCP, and DNS. I would like to limit access to the Internet based on the users login and rights. Is there a way to do this other than using Microsoft?s ISA software and cost less than $1500.00?
2. I want to prevent consultants and employees from bringing in computers without permission. Is there a way to only allow domain users who are authenticated to receive IP information from the DHCP server? If not, would pure static help as almost 70 percent of the devices are already setup that way.
Background on network:
1 x Windows 2000 domain controller, 2 x Windows 2000 servers running various business apps, 60 client workstations, and 4 x 3com switches (3300xm).
Any tips or suggestions will be appreciated.
