How Can I Limit Access(Time)

reidc

Ok- it with the kids PC.

It is connected to a Router, an it has three accounts on XP Pro- all passworded. I THINK I have disabled the guest account.

Is there an App- or some other thing I can use to limit time logged into an account on these things? With the wife and I not home- having a real tough time keeping one of the kids off the PC(online gaming).

If nothing like this exists- how can I see time logged in afterward?

Thanks,
Chris

Thanks John-

I do have a WRT54GS Router- so I assume I can do what you show(I never realized that). Unfortunately- that would shut down that PC for all users. I really need to do it for one user for time only.

When I was younger my parents used to use some software called Watchdog.

Essentially it monitored our web activity and put a timer on the amount of time each person could use the computer per day.

I know some opensource for linux, not sure about windows, but if you do a google search for 'limit internet access time.' some intersting software come up.
