How can I lightning-fast boot a laptop into a web browser?

What is the absolute fastest way of booting a laptop so that I have access to a web browser via a wireless network card?

I don't need any other features at all -- just the web browser.

I'd also like to boot this via a usb memory stick if possible.

Can anybody help me out?

There was a linux live distro that only had networking components and a web browser (with the necessary browser plugins). The name escapes me at the moment, but they do exist.

Was it called Thinstation?

It's a thin client but includes a little bit of extra stuff that might slow down the boot time...

The best thing I can think of would be Damn Small Linux. It has more than just a browser, but it probably has the fastest boot up time you will find, plus it can run from a USB stick.
