How can I keep an ipod ribbon cable down?

I lost the clip that holds the battery ribbon cable down on an ipod classic. Any suggestions for keeping the cable secure?

Use a gob of blu tack or trim a double sided poster sticky tacs with a scissors to fit around the sides.
