Please, help me in my problem with the installation of a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 500MCE Capture Card.
My PC configuration :
WinXp Pro 5.1.2600 SP2 build 2600 (32-bit version)
ASUS A7V333 (with inegrated sound card)
512MB RAM
ASUS V7100 Deluxe Combo 32MB
Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 500MCE
I do not have Media Center Edition, but want to run it under XP with a third party application
(I tried SageTV Recorderv.1.5.6 , BeyondTV3 , GB-PVR), but the card is not working, neither
sound nor picture.Only blank screen in application InterVideo WinDVR3.
I got with the card an installation CD with only Media Center Edition drivers.
I tried to install it with them : I followed the instructions of the New Hardware Wizard and it
was successful, I could check it in Device Maneger/Sound.-Video and Ganme Controllers :
Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (23xxx)(Tuner1)
Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (23xxx)(Tuner2).
Under SageTVRecorder there were five sources.In Setup Menu/Sources Tab with Hauppauge WinTV PVR
PCI II Capture TV Tuner Input selecting button Auto Tune (in both Air or Cable) the tuner goes
through all channel numbers without any result, neither sound nor picture.
Having no success I followed the uninstall instructions from Hauppauge site : by HCWCLEAR.exe I
removed all WinTv drivers.After that I installed PVR150 XP drivers(pvr150_22_22292.exe).
It didnot work either.
I have no idea how to install this card under my XP system.
Please help me if you can and if not please give my question further.
