I run a MB Asus Cuple-VM without an AGP-slot.So I bought a PCI-videocard.
Unfortunately I am new in hardware problems.
Could you shortly explain how to do the installation of the new video?
Especially worring for me is disabling of the integrated video. Are necessary any changes in BIOS?

Thank you in advance.

Often the motherboard will recognize that a PCI video card has been installed, and will automatically disable the integrated video.

Try this:
Install your new video card. Connect your monitor to the new video card. Boot the system. If you're lucky, everything will work fine. Go into the BIOS and disable the integrated video, just for good measure.
If you get no video from the new card, connect your monitor to the integrated video output. Go into the BIOS and disable the integrated video. Reboot, and connect your monitor to the new video card. Now things should be fine.

Good luck!

I was in the same situation.
My rig has the i810 chipset, I don't know what you have but anyway.

Install new card
Leave monitor connected to the integrated.
Install drivers
Reboot
Go to display properties and set the new video card as default.
(I run W2K so it supports dual display)
Deselect 'extend desktop to secondary monitor' (or similar) under display properties.
Done

Good luck

... and if your PCI card has an NVidia chip on, don't scratch your head when it doesn't work. Those are quite known not to play well with an integrated AGP VGA (or with any other kind of AGP VGA in the system).
