How can i identify my Thunderbird chip

I have a Thunderbird 900 on an ASUS A7V mobo.I checked the ID numbers on my Thunderbird 900's core and they matched up to being a 900mhz proc. The core is green which means it has aluminum interconnects. The processor also posts normally as 900. The only thing is that when I open up ASUS probe and check system information, it says that the processors max speed is 800 and that its current speed is 900. I have heard once of a person who had ASUS probe posting max speed as 800 also. Is this just a bug in the ASUS probe utility or did i get a remarked chip??? Another thing is that ive heard of people getting there 900's to 1.1ghz. I can get my proc into Windows at 1ghz but programs crash. I even raised the core voltage to 1.9v. Whats the problem here?

The asus probe report every chip as 800, your chip isn't remarked. If you can't hit 1 gig at 1.9V, your chip just can't handle it. That's probably why.
