how can I hook up 5.1 speakers to a macbook

I am looking at buying a macbook finally but I really don't want to have to get rid of my klipsch 5.1 speakers. Can anybody suggest a usb device or pcmcia card I can hook up that will work with os x.

What model of Klipsch speakers do you have? The MacBook has built-in Optical Digital Audio output; you can buy a converter for under $20 from MonoPrice.com if you need a full-sized TOSlink or Coaxial connector. Or does it have the analog 5.1 output connectors?

Klipsch 5.1s are most likely analog.
