I am going to college and don't have room to have a TV. I already have a tv capture card, so I am assuming I can run the video through that, but where can I run the sound?
 
yes, my tv capture card has audio on it as well. if yours doesnt, you can still just go into the line-in on your sound card. or for higher quality video, you can get an X2VGA. i've got one and it lets me play my games in high def on my monitor.
 
use an rca -> 1/8" adapter, send the sound to the line in port.

get dscaler and use that for video
