You can't have democracy without guns.

The same can be said of America in many areas, and while you say we have a nanny state because we have a healthcare system, we say we have a proper welfare state which you do not.

And you'd be wrong in that claim, you have lower quality healthcare, you pay higher taxes, you can't choose your own healthcare plans, the government operates death panels that decides who gets a procedure and who doesn't, and you have higher malpractice rates than the US.

I don't know enough about this to argue, but ultiamtely I'm anti-gun, so I imagine that's where I'd be if I read into it.

Because there has been a global increase in murder since guns were banned in the UK, but if you look at gun deaths in the UK they have decreased, as have incidents involving guns, and then check statistics comparing gun death in the UK to the US.
