It doesn't have tv-out, its got VGA out for a monitor, PCMCIA slots, I think there is a PCMCIA card for TV-Out but they are rather pricey, any thoughts on those? and it's a USB port, are there USB tv-out peripherals? thanks in advance

You can get an external scan converter that will attach to your VGA-out connector for under $100.

As usual, Workin', you are correct again! Yes they make these as a PCMCIA card or you can just get a noraml scan convertor as Workin' said. I've found the PCMCIA cards on e8ay for as low as $20. Brand New!! No features for that price, but it works. Here is a link that might help get you started:
TView Scan convertor

I switched from the PCMCIA card to my normal external TView Gold, as it supports up to 1600x1280 at 152Hz, and switches to my laptops normal view of 1024x768, as well as has ton's of features. I can also use it with my Desktop PC. But, any brand should work fine.
