How can I get the top off of a K6-2?

I've got a K6-2 that I don't use anymore and I've been wanting to remove that metal thing on the "top" that obviously hides the core. I've tried wrapping around both fishing line and dental floss, but both of them always snap.. Anyone know how to get that thing off?

The.. Metal thing that sits right on top of the core, I think, that says "AMD K6-2 blah blah blah" and all that stuff on it.

I ripped the top off mine
it looks cool, kinda like a Duron
however i can't really run it with a normal HSF anymore, it won't boot windows before it overheats

Like with a flat-head screwdriver? My dad and I couldn't find one that fit under there.. Also, wouldn't prying it off with a screwdriver chip some of that other material? Wouldn't that be a bad thing, too? Heh.
