How can I get tech support from Valve?

Hey Guys,

I can't connect to Steam! I sent an email to support@steampowered.com a few days ago and they didn't respond to me.

Everyone on here seems to play HL2, so I'll post what I said to Valve here in hopes that someone out there is having the same issue as me and has a workaround. Here's the problem:

I can't connect to the Steam servers to play CS:S. It says "Getting new server list..." and then gives me the message "Could not contact master game server to retrieve server list."

I'm running a Linksys WRT 54G Wireless Router to share my internet connection. I have my computer on the DMZ, meaning the hardware firewall for the router has been turned off. I have also disable the software firewall built into Windows XP.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Not yet, thanks for the link tho. I would like one of their techs to personally respond to my email. I don't think I'm having a typical issue; I've searched the steam forums to no avail.

If I had known how invasive steam was before buying HL2, I probably would have saved my money. I can't play CS:S (the main reason I bought the game), and if my 'net connection goes down I can't even play HL2. Very discouraging.
