Rent a pickup truck or van for a week-end.
One day out and one day back.
Find some-one that will not charge mileage.

It will cost well over $200 to have it shipped to you.
Also, what happens if it is not what you want. Then you have to cover the costs of shipping it back.

1200 miles r/t, 10 mpg, fuel $2.80/gallon = $336

food and maybe lodging = $60 to $120

20+ driving hours = $2/hours (that's what my off-time is worth) = $40

Having it shipped is the way to go.

EDIT: forgot to add vehicle rental = $70

Here's another vote for the moving companies such as American Van Lines. Hell they will completely pack up your house and move it for you, I see no reason why they wouldn't pick up a tractor if you'll pay for it.

They usually charge by weight as that what controls how much they can fit into the back of a semi.(with some labor cost added) Last I checked it was going to be about $2500 for my wife and I to have all of our stuff moved without them packing.(that includes a 600lb piano) So I would imagine it would be quite a bit less as they will spend almost no time on your part. The biggest downside being that they normally can not tell you when exactly they will drop it off as it depends on who they all pick up from and what route they use.(normally a 2-4 day window)
